EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ELI CHAPMAN...
o1. Elliot Chapman was born in London, England. He considers London his home, but he does have houses in Los Angeles and Florida as well. He spends his time at his LA home the most, usually when he is working on projects in the area.
o2. He's the younger brother of Joel Chapman.
o3. He prefers to be called either Elliot or Eli. Someone called him 'elly' once and it bothered him. Unfortunately for him, the nickname stuck and people in the industry will call him that name if they do not know him very well. (Or if they do know him well, but want to see him flinch!)
o4. Eli is very unpredictable and the paparazzi love this. He's got a few crazy stories, one of which involves him stripping down at a beach in Spain. (Those photos were later leaked everywhere, but Eli shrugged off the scandal, saying "When in Spain...".
o5. He's been videotaped by paps outside of a random home in Los Angeles. The video shows the actor pacing back and forth and talking loudly and incoherently. When one of the paparazzos approached him and asked what he was doing, he simply said, "I'm locked out." The incident create wide speculation that Eli was into drugs, (the same time that a few incidents had happened with his older brother.) But it was the only incident like this to happen to him, and no charges or record of the event were formally filed.
o6. When he auditioned for Serendipity, he wanted to try something different. Most of his projects are related to blood and violence, so Eli shocked a few of his fans when he signed on for a romance.
o7. Pulp Fiction is the first and only movie in which Eli directs and acts. He was quoted as saying, "I will never do that again. When you're young you think you can do anything. And even though I was very excited for the way the film came out, I'm a little upset at myself for trying to do everything by myself."
o8. Elliot has a daughter with ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) openfemale, named Aislinn Rose Chapman. His daughter was born in 2004, and is currently five years old. Eli and his girlfriend at the time named their daughter 'aislinn' after the old english word meaning "dream".
o9. He's been known as a bit of a playboy, and was openly scrutinized in 2004 when he left his then pregnant girlfriend to date a fellow co-star, openfemale. Eli has deeply apologized publicly to his ex-girlfriend, saying that he "knew that things would not work out well for the two of us, but that of course I want to be a part of my little girl's life." After many heated battles between the two, they finally agreed on joint-custody and have been on speaking terms ever since.
10. Elliot greatly looks up to his brother, and has always supported him. Regardless of what his brother has gone through, he has made a point to always have his brother's back.
